Jelena Ristic, the director of the Novak Djokovic Foundation visited Priboj on December 27th 2012. She was received by the mayor, Lazar Rvovic, and the president of the tennis club “Priboj 1880”, Mirko Tosic. Priboj owned the first tennis courts in Serbia and the Novak Djokovic Foundation is interested to help Priboj to build infrastructure and to promote the sport of tennis in the community. The mayor and Jelena did a short visit of the current sports facilities and showed the newly constructed tennis courts. The Novak Djokovic Foundation through strong partnerships with civil associations or organizations is planning to create an environment for children from disadvantaged communities where they can develop values and skills that will enable them to start life successfully and help them to develop their full potential with the hope that in the future, they will contribute to positive change in the community.
