These three municipalities and the city of Kraljevo were chosen because they are among the most underdeveloped regions. Our mission is to provide children, especially in rural areas, with a space where they will be able to play, socialise and attend quality programs. Jelena Ristic visited Priboj

Jelena Ristic, the director of the Novak Djokovic Foundation visited Priboj on December 27th 2012. She was received by the mayor, Lazar Rvovic, and the president of the tennis club “Priboj 1880”, Mirko Tosic. Priboj owned the first tennis courts in Serbia and the Novak Djokovic Foundation is interested to help Priboj to build infrastructure and to promote the sport of tennis in the community. The mayor and Jelena did a short visit of the current sports facilities and showed the newly constructed tennis courts. The Novak Djokovic Foundation through strong partnerships with civil associations or organizations is planning to create an environment for children from disadvantaged communities where they can develop values ​​and skills that will enable them to start life successfully and help them to develop their full potential with the hope that in the future, they will contribute to positive change in the community.

Novak Djokovic Foundation and Center for Interactive Pedagogy from Belgrade (CIP) have signed a cooperation agreement to jointly design and implement educational programs for pre-school children. Thanks to a shared vision and experience of experts from the Foundation and CIP, all future activities will be devoted to improvement of accessibility and quality of education of pre-school children, as well as development of their talents in order to achieve significant results in fields of science, culture and sports. The Necker Cup 2012

Novak and Jelena went to the Necker Cup where each evening ended with a unique cocktail and dinner experience concluding with an “End of the World” awards dinner, party and auction on December 12. One hundred percent of all donations from the auction would directly benefit the local BVI community, Virgin Unite, the National Tennis Foundation, Novak Djokovic Foundation and other ATP and WTA player charities. During live and silent auction where guests were bidding on many interesting items donated by various athletes, artists, and celebrities, it was raised more than $500,000.

$144,000 were put aside to support Novak Djokovic Foundation. The rest of the money raised went to fund other foundations respectively.
